Please pardon the appearance of my website as I work with a team to digitize my body of work, including dozens of prints ranging in size from two-by-three inches to forty-by-fifty inches, transparencies in various formats, instant photographs, and 16mm motion picture films.
As always, the best way to enjoy my work is to be around it physically, whether visiting my gallery shows, seeing my work prints as I nail them on the telephone poles in my home community, or forming a personal connection with me to arrange a private viewing.
I feel blessed to have this virtual space as a means of forming connections, but this is not the space where my art exists. Thank you for your understanding.
Welcome.
I am an artist based in Lambertville, New Jersey and New York City who works primarily through photography, and through musicianship and electrical engineering.
Through my pictures, I invite viewers to reflect on their own humanity and to wonder at their surroundings. I portray people, social interactions, natural features, and landscapes in hand-made silver gelatin prints, color transparencies and projections, instant positive film, and projected moving picture film.
My approach to the technical aspects of photography is based largely on the writings of Ansel Adams, and on my own training and practice as an audio and electrical engineer. I aim to use a foundation of thorough technical proficiency to create pictures of maximum emotional impact.
All of my art – my pictures, music, records, and electrical designs – is composed as communication amongst humans, and between humans and their surroundings. My expressions are informed by this pursuit of love and human communication; and by a desire to promote social evolution, peace-making, and environmentalism.
I Love You
Peace And Miracles To You
